62′ C
The 62′ C (Raised helm) is a progression from the 60′ C. It has greater displacement and features an aft cockpit only, and raised helm station.
Two of these are under construction in Southern Queensland (2006).
Generally these boats have a higher equipment level than the 60′ C and are capable of high daily averages in the comfort and security of the elevated helm station.
With greater accommodation levels, they have up to 6 queen or double bunks for the extended family or lots of friends.
It is built in Duflex (a composite panel) using the flat panel method.
Bob Oram Design was one of the pioneers of this method and has the design, build and management experience to gain the best return from this method. Due to the increased equipment level they usually represent a greater investment level.
As with all my designs the drawings are prepared with both the professional and the self-builder in mind, including very comprehensive and detailed drawings in A3 format. A lot of fittings detail is supplied at 1-1 scale. They are in colour with consistent referencing and colour-coding.
I back up my drawings with unequalled support and ‘real’ contact time, ie you get to talk to me direct. I usually visit the site during the build process (including overseas) just out of interest or for the larger projects can be involved on a part or full project management basis.
